I have had RA for 20+ years, at first it was bearable, but when I had a major stroke, in 2008, my RA has gotten real bad, painful! My fingertips were like bulbs at the end of them. My doctor started me on the Embrel injections about 2 years ago and it was like magic to me! I am not saying I am cured by no means, I just know that my fingertips are back to normal! I feel so much better! Sad to say my stroke, the after effects are still the same. I am 54 and I feel like my life has changed drastically. I still can't perform personal hygene by myself, or even a shower! My stroke was due to the side effects of a hormone replacement pill! I can at least say I am over blaming God for my condition!! I guess I would like to talk to any & everyone who wants to chat about how to survive from the RA & strokes…just how to begin to try to get back to even half normal condition!!!
